Arkel Constructors is supporting Community Coffee in the development of a consolidation project that will bring its process, office, and distribution operations together at its Port Allen, Louisiana facility.
The project includes a new approximately 14,000-square-foot addition to the existing 250,000-square-foot warehouse, along with approximately 12,000 square feet of interior build-out for operations, maintenance, breakroom, locker, and support spaces. The new addition will accommodate two large bean storage tanks and gas-fired roasting equipment.
The project is being developed in phases, with the addition serving as the first priority followed by the interior build-out. With major equipment scheduled to arrive from Europe in early 2027, the project requires close coordination between design, procurement, and construction to meet Community Coffee’s goal of becoming fully operational by July 2027.
Surveying and rezoning are currently underway as the project advances through preliminary design.
