The project consists of the construction of a new 92,000-square-foot maximum security youth detention facility for the Office of Juvenile Justice located in Baker, Louisiana. The facility will function as a regional center for detained youth and a reception center for the State, accommodating 72 beds. The building program includes a full intake area with 16 reception beds and seven housing units with individual sleeping rooms, dayrooms, and exercise yards. The project also includes extensive site development such as a double security perimeter fence, maintenance building, parking, driveways, utilities infrastructure, lighting, and security/surveillance systems.
