Arkel Constructors was awarded the CMAR contract for the construction of the approximately 300,000-square-foot Center for Industrial Excellence for John H. Carter Co. in Gonzales, Louisiana. This $70 million state-of-the-art facility at 3088 S. Burnside Ave. in Ascension Parish will serve as a hub for assembling, servicing, and distributing flow control products to support key Gulf Coast industries including oil and gas, refining, chemicals, power, renewables, and pulp and paper. Following the award, our team collaborated with the design team and John H. Carter for leadership to validate scope, develop a Master Project Schedule aligned with the two-year timeline to operations, and establish an open-book Control Estimate. During preconstruction, we provided constructability reviews, value engineering, subcontractor prequalification, and early release packages to ensure budget adherence and schedule efficiency.
